McPherson Public Schools is pleased to announce that the Board approved a proposal to waive class and student material fees for the 2024-25 school year in an effort to provide families with some relief during a time of ever-rising costs. Over the course of this school year, the district leadership team will review, revise, and restructure the class fees and student material fees for future consideration by the Board.
"We've heard a lot of feedback from our community that rising costs in all areas are creating a significant strain on families, and we are proud to be able to provide this small bit of relief as we kick off another great school year," Dr. Shiloh Vincent, Superintendent, said.
If a family has already paid fees for this year, the business office will work to reimburse those fees as soon as possible. If a family has not yet paid fees, they will be waived. We appreciate our community's patience as we work through this process to ensure each student's account is updated correctly.
This waiver does not apply to Activity Participation Fees, Activity Pass Fees, or Yearbook Fees. It's important to note that this waiver applies only to fees for the 2024-2025 school year; any outstanding balances from previous years will remain due and collectible as per standard procedures.
